Paris Feb 23, 2011

I went overseas quite a lot as a kid on family holidays including to places like America, Thailand, Hawaii and New Caledonia. I've also been traveling more recently, with friends, to places like New Zealand, China and Borneo. This year we had a family trip to London to see my sister get married. Along with this, I saw the opportunity to travel alone.

I have always wanted to travel overseas alone. I saw it as a bit of a challenge, as it was a bit nerve racking. It was awesome though as I was able to do anything and everything I wanted without having to discuss it with anyone. I simply went and did things.

I decided I would arrive two weeks before the wedding, spend a few days in London with my sister and sightseeing while she was at work. Then I headed off to Paris on my own. I chose Paris because it was quick, easy and cheap to get to from London - not much else. I ended up loving it though. The food was amazing, the streets were flat and wide making it ideal for walking from place to place which I was planning to do a lot of.

Here are just a few photos of my time in Paris.
